Are you wondering” How To Fix My Computer”? Well you have come to the right place. I have created this website at HowToFixMyComputer.org to help people to be able to fix there computers for themselves. The prices that computer repair shops charge is out of control. Most charge seventy dollars just to take a look at your computer. Some charge even more if they have to visit your house to do it. And most problems are easy to fix. This site will help and teach you how to fix your computer yourself so you can save money and help your family and friends with there computers too. I am a certified information Technologies (IT) Technician so I know what I am doing when it comes to the subject of how to fix my computer. I have literally fixed thousands of computers. Whether it computer software problems or computer hardware problems, it really is not difficult with the right software and knowledge. I will also be discussing with easy to understand articles on why the many computer problems occur and free videos showing how to fix your computer.

Fixing your computer yourself is really not that difficult. With the internet today you can find many sources to explain how to fix your computer. You can also find lots of software that can fix your particular computer problems. But customers and friends of mine always say that it is too hard to understand. When they go to a website to find out how to fix there computer usually it so technical or geeky and seams really complicated. The reason for this is that most sites explain how to fix the problem but not in laments terms or they don’t explain the reason the problem started in the first place. Also they usually don’t provide videos showing how to do it. They also never show them how to prevent it from happening the first place. Here at HowToFixMyComputer.org we will try to address those issues and make it simple to understand and have videos to show you how when possible.

The whole process of fixing problems on your computer is all mostly just knowing how to do it. Knowledge is everything. If you have the knowledge then it becomes extremely easy and you will be wondering why you couldn’t do it before. I remember a joke my father once told me. I have changed it a bit to fit this topic on how to fix my computer but it is virtually the same.

Once upon a time there was a man that owned a huge computer manufacturing company. And one day the machine that made the computers stopped working. So he called a computer making machine repair man. So this computer making machine repair man showed up and the owner asked “how long it will take to fix my computer making machine”? The repair man said “oh, it should only take a few minutes”. Well the owner was losing thousands of dollars a minute and wanted it done as soon as possible and agreed. So the repair man walked up to the machine and put his ear to it, closed his eyes and listened very carefully as he tapped the side with his knuckle. He then smiled and said “Uh Huh”and pulled a small screwdriver out of his tool bag and turned a small tiny screw on the side of the huge machine. The computer making machine rumbled back into life and began to make computers again. The owner then took out his check book and ask “so how much for the repair”? The repair man then said “That will be $500.00″

The dumbfounded owner became extremely angry and said to the repair man “$500 to turn a screw? I want a full itemized receipt explaining why this cost so much for so little work”! The repair man took out his receipt book, wrote on it and handed the bill to the owner and the bill stated:

Repair amount: $500

Labor = $1.00

Knowing what screw to turn = $499.00

The moral to this story is knowledge is everything! With it, you will never again have to ask yourself “How To Fix My Computer”. That is why I created this website. So that you can fix your computer at home for free. Who knows? Maybe you will learn enough or will be inspired to learn more on computer repair from other sources and will then be able to open your own shop and/or create your own website or blog. I have a Thinkpad T60, it had 1.5GB mem. and I upgraded to 3GB how can I use this upgrade to my advantage? I don’t see any improvement at all and if anything maybe more dam problems. What should I do. I don’t play games or work with big graphics programs or anything, aahhhhhhhh! what can I do? I don’t (well I do) want to hit the dam thing with the bat.

Antivirus XP 2008 is a new rogue anti-spyware program that is advertised through Trojans and other malware. It is advertised in the form of fake security alerts and warnings on web sites that state you are infected with malware or are being attacked in some manner. When you click on these ads, it will automatically download the installer for Antivirus XP 2008 and install it on your machine. In some cases, this program is installed without any intervention at all from you. Once installed, AntivirusXP 2008 will scan your computer and display a variety of security risks found on your computer that can only be removed if you purchase a license of the software. These risks, though, are all fake and are only being displayed to scare you into thinking you are infected and thus purchase their software. Another tactic that AntivirusXP 2008, and the accompanied malware, uses is to change your desktop background to be a message stating you are infected, popups and fake alerts stating your computer is being attacked, and a fake Internet Explorer page that states Google has found your computer to be infected.
